Baby Boomers are more likely to have taken on debt and experienced financial insecurity than their parent’s generation. One major source of that debt lies in part due to the ease in obtaining loans for significantly more expensive houses and in making smaller down payments than previous generations. As of December 2011, 16 percent of loans of the 50+ population were underwater according to a research report released in 2012 by AARP, “Nightmare on Main Street: Older Americans and the Mortgage Market Crisis”. Can you see your way to getting an eye exam?

 
A couple months ago, one of my cats quit eating tuna from the can.  Out of curiosity, I decided to read the ingredients which should have said tuna, water.  The can didn’t read that way at all but it took me a while to know that because the light in the store wasn’t very good and the size 4 font on the glossy label was hard to read.
